Buying Magic: The Gathering Cards at The Kraken’s Crate — Kiosk Orders

The in-store kiosk lets you browse The Kraken’s Crate’s MTG singles inventory, reserve cards you’re interested in, and review them in person before completing your purchase.

How It Works

  • Browse & Search: Use the kiosk to explore our available MTG singles by name, set, or price.

  • Add to Cart: Add the cards you want to your cart to place a temporary hold.

  • In-Store Review: A staff member will pull your cards so you can review condition and authenticity in person.

  • Complete Your Purchase: Once you’re happy, we’ll finalize the sale at the counter.

Important Things to Know

  • Kiosk carts are reservations, not final purchases

  • All cards are confirmed in-store before payment

  • Final pricing reflects condition at time of review

  • Cards may be released if not claimed within the hold window

Selling Magic: The Gathering Cards at The Kraken’s Crate

What We Accept

  • Authentic Magic: The Gathering cards only

  • Cards must be in playable condition

  • Cards must be presented unsleeved or easily removable for inspection

  • We are happy to purchase Magic cards that meet our current inventory needs

Pricing & Offers

Buy prices are based on:

  • Current market value

  • Card condition

  • In-store demand and existing inventory

We offer:

  • Store Credit (higher value) - Typical buy rates: 55–70%

  • Cash payout (lower value) - Typical buy rates: 40–60%

  • All offers are final once accepted.

Processing Time

Small collections may be evaluated same-day.

Larger collections may require:

  • Drop-off and scheduled review

  • Return visit for final pricing

Condition

  • Card condition is determined solely by Kraken’s Crate staff.

  • If there is a disagreement on condition, staff will explain the assessment, but the final determination rests with the store.

  • Signed, altered, or misprinted cards may be declined or priced separately.

Returns & Exchanges

  • All Magic: The Gathering singles sales are final.

  • We do not accept returns or exchanges on singles once the transaction is complete.

  • Sealed MTG products follow the store’s general return policy.

Additional Notes

  • We reserve the right to refuse any buy, sell, or trade transaction at our discretion.

  • Fraudulent cards will not be purchased and may be reported.

  • Prices and policies may change based on market conditions.
